Immune to advances in AI
Mathematicians thought they were immune to advances in AI.
At least in their lifetime.
They thought, like everybody else before them, that they had a monopoly on what they do. On what they produce.
That was until OpenAI recently published new mathematical "results".
Now the illusion is gone.
And like everybody else before them, they must have the AI conversation:
"What value was I creating? And what value will I create in a world where AI can generate some of the value I used to create?"
This is the defining conversation of our era.
I hope you're not avoiding it.
