Learning requires inefficiency

I'm so thankful for LLMs. They are so fast at showing me how little I know about something. I like that.

It pushes me to read more about the fundamentals and learn from original sources.

And I read, and read, and read.

And the more I read original content, and learn the fundamentals, the more I enjoy talking with LLMs.

The conversations grow. They get more intense and more rewarding. Then I hit the next wall. And I stop and I'm back to reading original content.

This is slow. But anything worth mastering has never been fast. As Rich Hickey ↗, the creator of the Clojure programming language, said:

Learning requires inefficiency
